TIMBER....... Christmas Tree time AGAIN!!!!

This is our 2nd year to cut a fresh tree down to put up in the basement family room! This year went much smoother than last, well in the beginning it did!!! We drove to Idaho, Cash and Cade both slept the whole ride!!! Anyone with kids knows the peace of a sleeping baby as you drive ANYWHERE!!!....well, we made it to our destination....drove up the dirt road a ways...and there we unload....this is quite a chore....5 boys to dress warm, boots, gloves, hats..... I reminded myself of the mother on Christmas Story.....you know dressing Randy for his winter walk to school.... Well, everyones dressed.....we all start heading up the hill, of course Cade is ALREADY crying by this point...it's MAYBE been 7 minutes...... well, Cort spots the PERFECT tree!!!! Tall, bushy, BEAUTIFUL!!! so, ........

We all decide....yes, this is the one!!! WOW, that was great, much faster than last year! So, Matt get's the saw out...still Cade is crying, he has now taken off his gloves, so he's now frostbitten!!!! Matt chops the tree down!!! Cade is still crying, I pack him and Cash down the hill, Matt is dragging the tree, the other 3 are full of it, running here and there!!! We load the tree in, tag it, and the boys want to ride in the jet sled back to the main road.....so, throw crying cade in the truck, out of the cold, hook the sled up, and head out!!!! PERFECT...is what you are all thinking....RIGHT????

So....we pull the boys back to the main road, no wrecks, no nothin.....great fun, cold, but fun!!!! So, we now undress the other boys, put the sled away....head out......Soooooooo very smooth, what a great adventure!!!! We are on our way home!!!! Of course, all boys claim to be STARVING....so we'll grab something, a hamburger or something....that keeps everyone happy! The thought there will soon be food, always keep them happy!

So...... we get up the road, maybe a mile and Matt slams on the brakes....... "What the H#@&!!.....Where's the tree?" So, yes we look back to see way down the road is our BEAUTIFUL Christmas tree, laying in the road!! Matt reverses all the way back to find our perfect tree NOT so perfect anymore.....topless!!!! It's 1/2 the size it used to be!! I just laughed...yes, very surprising coming from ME..... Matt is crazy mad....and decides to go back into the mountains to find ANOTHER!!!! ahahahahaahahha...... I tried to talk him into keeping it, and having a CHARLIE BROWN Christmas!! He was determined to get another....of course, it's almost dark, by this point. Well, he is now driving like a bat out of H..... and we search from the road, no way we are re-dressing everyone....and let's remind you all, Cade is still crying...... so, Matt get's out.....searches around and FINALLY returns with a tree, not close to the one we had before!!!... BUT it is a tree!

So, VERY LONG story short...... these are all pics of the GOOD tree, the times BEFORE the 2nd tree!!! whooooooo....... we did get home, it all worked out....just part of the Christmas memory, RIGHT!!! Matt said, "SOMEDAY, this will be fun"!!!! Hope you all have a very MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!

Happy 9th Birthday Camen...... Better late than NEVER!

Camen turned 9 on the 16th!!!! My computer has been out for 2 whole weeks....so here I am!!! He had a great day, with lots of fun!..... From money to DS games, and board games, and Lot's of other stuff, he had a great time!

We sure love Camen in our home!!! He is a great kid, with a big helpful heart! Happy Birthday Camen!!!!! Hard to believe he is really 9! WOW!!!!

CRAZY HALLOWEEN BOYS......

Check out these boys...... Camen decided to go GOTH this year...check out those tattoos and piercings!!! I reminded him, "This is the ONLY time you can get away with this look".....Cort went for the "PIG"....we told him he'd better watch out, he might find himself lock up for the night....check out his tail!!! Cooper went all out with a ROCK STAR.... check out those pants!!! All's he wanted was zebra print pants....I finally found them @ Fundaze!!! PERFECT!!!
Cash wanted to be HULK..... I was worried he wouldn't wear his mask, but he did...getting a good picture was another story! AND Cade was BATMAN!!!! also doing a great job!!! We had a great night of Trunk or Treating in our neighborhood, lot's and lot's of candy, took a trip to the grandparents, and went to bed!!! After a long busy day of football, and costumes, everyone rested great...and thanks to day light savings, we all got an extra hour of sleep......very well needed!!! Hope everyone had a great day!!! Shoot....forgot to flip that one!!!! the winner is WEST HAVEN...21 to 0!!!! What a game!!!!! This is the 3rd year in a row to win...totally undefeated for 3 years, what a thing to say!!! Cort was very excited!! It was a great day, sunny and warm, a great day for another big win!!! WAY TO GO CORT!!!.....GO GRIZZLIES!!!!!!

OCTOBER Highlights!!!

Cort had his first Deer Tags this year! One in Idaho, and one in Utah....so after football games Cort and Matt would head out, hoping to get lucky! Well, Cort took a shot @ one up @ the deer camp in North Ogden a week ago, but they never could find it.... but, one week later Matt's uncle who was up hunting around in the same area came across the deer Cort got....Yep....Cort got him!! I think Matt has been more excited than Cort! so they were able to get it home, and this weekend Cort was able to get the Idaho deer....that is the pics you see!! So, glad to say it....I AM VERY relieved that they were successful....or we'd be hearing about that for the next 30 years of our lives!!! This is Matt with his buck he got this year, Idaho I think???!!! and here are some of the crappy football pics I took this year....not very good I know! But, we had a great season. Cooper and Camen did great this year, scoring big and having a lot of fun, and Cort's team is still undefeated...headed to the MINI-BOWL this Saturday, for the 3rdyear in a row!!... BUT, we will be glad when he's done!! Fun times....stay tuned for mini-bowl results.......

BIG # 10.....for Cooper!!!

Cooper turned the BIG # 10 on the 21st!!! He's been looking forward to this day for a while...and it looks like it payed off!!! Cooper was very excited about the cold hard cash he received!!! I told him he'd better hide it, I need a loan!!!

Part of Cooper's birthday included a friend party this year..... what's more insane than 5 boys???..... 10 boys!!! It was a lot of fun, very noisy, lots of boy stuff going on, but that's what boys are all about RIGHT?? Cooper had a great time...and after they all left, 5 didn't seem so bad after all!!! So all in all Cooper had a great birthday! Between family and friends, he made out like a bandit, and was pleased with turning 10...hard to really believe... Cooper is a great kid....HAPPY BIRTHDAY COOPER!!!

It's hard to believe it has already been 2 years!!! Once again, time flys!!! We sure do love little Cade in our family. His sweet little ways, and fun personality put a smile on ALL of our faces!!

BACK TO SCHOOL 2009....

Back to school is a glorious time..... once again, love the boys DEARLY....but, am in great need of some of the insanity we deal with on a day to day basis, to be on the down low.....and sending #1, #2, and #3 to school helps just a little!!! Here is Cooper, starting the 4th grade... very cute! He's excited to learn all the things that go along with 4 th grade!He is very creative and loves art....

These pics are all out of order...on a funny note....this is what we pulled from our garden! And to think I've been blaming Matt all these years for our production of BOYS..... well, I guess the phrase" it's all in the water", is true afterall....it's the FREAKIN HOOPER WATER..... our newest addition to the Brown house, and yet again....IT'S a BOY!!!!

Here is handsome Camen, starting the 3rd grade this year! He too is excited to learn and have fun this year!! He's very mellow, and a great kid!! Very smart....

And here is Cort...believe it or not, starting 6th grade!!! WOW, that means I'M the one who's getting old!! He is excited to RULE the school!! He also is a good kid, who always does a great job at whatever he does!Hard to believe they are all growing up!!! I love you boys!

better NOW than NEVER!!

Matt and I were asked to help on the PIONEER TREK this year for youth conference in our ward....and we were able to take the three older boys along!!! Cort was old enough, now that he is 12...pretty crazy, and Cooper and Camen did great! We had a great time.....so neat to see some of the sights of what the pioneers went through!...This was my terrible looking feet...after running the Ragnar Relay, I lost my big toenail, and after treking 14 miles the second day...I PEELED my second toenail right off...and another came off days later.....nice summer feet! Yet, we had a great time, and learned a lot...we all came back having a greater appreciation for what the pioneers did for us! It was fun being there with our boys...and seeing them work hard!

Dressing the part of the pioneers was part of the trip...not to hard for the guys to pull off, but the ladies....a whole different story! One of the womens husbands said.." Wonder why there were so many children back then, when the women looked like THAT!!!"...I took no offense, totally agreed to the comment!!! Bloomers were VERY attractive, and all the women looked like they were 20 lbs. heavier than they really were!! We had fun dressing up... and returning home, a nice hot shower never felt better!

May Highlights.....

Cort has been bugging for MONTHS to get a snake!!! I would brush it off again and again.....UNTIL I cracked!!!! could'nt take the whinning anymore!!!! so just so you all know...I am not mother of the year...just FOOL of a mother!! Cort has taken great care of it so far...and as ling as it stays far away from Matt and I , we are GREAT!!!

Matt has our garden going strong already! He recently said to me that I'd.."Better not waste any of it, and to start making plans of our Harvest"...I simply replied..."I'm all about the CUTENESS of a garden, not the production"!!! it is very true, don't get me wrong...love to eat the fresh stuff, just love the BETTER HOMES and GARDEN look!!! just like a cute, clean house, love a cute clean garden!!!... Baseball has begun..... another season filled with back to back ball games, games @ the same times, different locations, games @ different times, same locations....we make it work!!!! lots of fun!!! All 3 boys do a great job, and are all great hitters for their teams!!! I'll post more pics soon!! Cort has hit a homerun, and Camen has hit 3 homeruns already this season!!! Great times!!! SUMMER is officially here....don't know if I'm quite ready for all that comes with it!!!
